Twillingate, Newfoundland

Last week I watched the Netflix series "Below". It's about a sea creature that terrorizes the residence of a small coastal community in the Canadian province of Newfoundland. In the series, strange things start to happen after a huge iceberg appears in the bay. Parts of the series were filmed in the community of Twillingate, where it is not uncommon to spot large icebergs as they drift down the coast from Arctic waters.

The date in the postmark, 8 October 2026, was the release date of the Netflix series. I don't know if that was by design or just coincidence. When I sent this little cover off for a postmark I did not know about the Netflix series. To the best of my knowledge, no massive sea creatures have ever terrorized the people of Twillingate. But they do see lots of icebergs.
