Marsa, Malta

A collection of recent stamps from Malta. From left to right, a SEPAC 2024 tourist attractions stamp featuring the Mgarr Harbour in Gozo, a Malta Railway stamp from 2024 showing the Hamrun railway station, a 2025 Year of the Snake stamp, and below that a Porbeagle Shark stamp from a 2023 set featuring marine life in the Mediterranean.

A random set of stamps from Malta. On the left, a 2013 stamps showing an old airport bus in use during the 1950's and 60's. In the middle, a 2022 Europa Myths and Legends stamp based on the myth of Odysseus and Calypso. And on the right, a 2004 stamp depicting an early 20th century tram in Malta.

Marsa, Malta

Stamps from left to right are an "Occasions" stamp from 2010, a definitive stamp from 2009 and a Healthcare Heroes stamp from 2021. Marsa sits a short distance southwest of Valletta at the end of Malta's Grand Harbour.

Paola, Malta

In 2012, the EU designated the Maltese capital of Valletta to be one of the 2018 European Capitals of Culture. Two cities are chosen each year with the goal being to boost cultural development within those cities. The stamp on the left is from a series of stamps that recognizes Valletta as a European Capital of Culture, designed by artist Joseph Pulo.

The stamp on the right is from a set that shows traditional Maltese costumes. On this stamp is the clothing of someone traditionally engaged in farming.

Mellieħa, Malta

From the town of Mellieħa in the north end of Malta. The stamps (and envelope) commemorate the Feast of The Assumption of Our Lady. Each stamp features a processional statue from different churches around Malta. The one on the right is from Mosta, the middle from Mġarr and on the left from the Zebbug Parish Church in Gozo.

Stamps from a series from Malta that show processional statues from various churches around the Maltese Islands. The two stamps on this cover are statues used during the feast of Santa Marija. It's the largest celebration during the festa season. The one on the right is from Mqabba, and the one on the left is from Mosta.

Tal-Pietà, Malta

Tal-Pietà is a small waterfront town, essentially a suburb of the Maltese capital Valletta. The Tal-Pietà post office is not far from St Luke's Hospital. A lot of women in Malta give birth here so a lot of people born in Malta have birth certificates listing Tal-Pietà, a town with a population of less than 4000, as their place of birth.
