This pair of stamps from Finland feature large birds that hold an important place in Nordic folklore: the swan and the crane. Swans are seen as symbols of light and purity. Shape-shifting guardians of the dead. And cranes are known as the king of the birds. Spiritual guides to those with good intentions. The stamps have a gold foil application that shimmers in the light.
