A cover from Palmeira dos Índios: a city of 70000 in the interior of the state of Alagoas. The stamps  were issued by Correios Brazil in 2022 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first Atlantic air crossing from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro during March 30 to June 17, 1922.

St. Jacobs, Ontario. Canada

St. Jabobs is a village north of the city of Waterloo Ontario in an area known for its Mennonite heritage. I know it mostly for the year round farmers market where some of the farmers and food producers from the area sell produce and goods. Although I think the farmers market is actually outside of the boundaries of St. Jacobs. Closer to Waterloo. The stamp is a 2023 Canada Post Community Foundation charity stamp.

The World Through the Eyes of the Youth

The three stamps along the top of this cover from Gdańsk, Poland are 2018 stamps from a series titled "The World Through the Eyes of the Youth". Stamps from left to right: "needed changes", "saving our planet" and "the battle with smog". On that last stamp, dragons are used to represent smog which is fitting, as the Polish word for dragon is "smok". Very similar to the Polish word for smog... which is also "smog". Thank You Roman for pointing that out to me.

At the bottom is a 2018 stamp commemorating the planned transnational highway between Klaipėda, Lithuania and Thessaloniki, Greece, crossing seven countries between the Baltic and Mediterranean. It is scheduled to open in 2025.

50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations Between China and Spain

The stamps, showing wetland habitats in Spain and China, are from a 2023 joint issue with Spain commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The stamps with the flamingos show an image of Fuente de Piedra Lagoon in Spain. The other two stamps show an image from Hengshui Lake: the second largest fresh water lake in northern China. This was sent from the city of Suzhou. It's canals, gardens and bridges have earned it the name"Venice of the East". Suzhou is a large city with a population of over 12 million in its metro region.

Algerian "Environment" FDC

A set of stamps from Algeria titled simply "Environment" on this first-day cover. On the left is Posidonia oceania which is a common type of seagrass in the Mediterranean. And on the right is Alcelaphus buselaphus or hartbeest which is an African antelope. It has been extinct in Algeria since the 1930s.

Arlesheim, Switzerland

A cover from the Swiss town of Arlesheim near Basel. On the left is a 2023 "The Little Prince" book-shaped stamp. The luck pig stamp is from 2019. It is flocked and has a soft fuzzy texture. And the rubber duck stamp from 2023 has a vinyl like coating that is raised slightly around the edges, like a shiny rubber duck I guess. Easier to see when imaged in the light from an angle. A cute little set of stamps.

Amilly, France

From the town of Amilly, south of Paris in the Loiret department of Centre-Val de Loire. The stamps are from a Jules Verne commemorative souvenir sheet from 2005. This is the top third of the sheet. I just assumed the sheet had four stamps across the top but after a closer look I see that it only has two. The pair of stamps in the middle are from the bottom of the sheet, affixed to the available space.

From left to right: Five weeks in a Balloon (1863), Around the World in Eighty days (1872), Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas (1870) and From the Earth to the Moon (1865).

Kuching, Malaysia

From the city of Kuching in the state of Sarawak. There was obviously a lack of quality control at the company that made this envelope! The stamps are definitives from 2005 and 2011. It was the postmark that interested me at first because I couldn't make out what it said. Pusat Mel Kuching. It just means "Kuching mail center" in Malay.

Famous Croats and a Goldfinch

Another sorting center postmark I assume. Looks a little too nice for that. On the right is a European goldfinch from a 2022 Birdpex set of four stamps. And on the left is a pair of famous Croats from a 2023 set of four: film producer Branko Lustig on the left and writer and journalist Miljenko Smoje on the right.
