A postcard from Dildo, Newfoundland. There really isn't much to see in Dildo. It's a pleasant community on a bay about an hour from St John's. However the town's name has brought it much notoriety. The main attractions are the gift shop and the brewery. We tried to get in there for lunch when we visited but every other tourist in the province must have been in Dildo that day. It's was surprisingly busy. High above the town on private land is this sign that has actually made it's way onto the postmark used at the post office.

I sent this postcard to myself when I visited the town a couple of weeks ago. If I were to visit there again I would certainly send you a postcard. But I suspect it will be a long time before I am in that part of the country again.
