Maybe I should have used a bigger envelope for this one. The giant handstamp on this envelope is so bold you barely notice the machine-applied postmark running into the top of it. Robert Ervin Howard was a pulp fiction author in the 1920's and 30's. He is regarded as the father of sword and sorcery fiction and the creator of Conan the Barbarian. The postmark commemorates his death on June 11, 1936.
