With this year's "Year of the Rat" issue comes the end of the current 12 year Chinese New Year series from Canada Post. I appreciate these souvenir sheets more now that I see them all together like this.
Both of this year's domestic and international rate stamps are embossed and feature foil stamping, although I don't think the domestic rate booklet stamps use foil. I haven't seen them yet. It is a wedding theme with the domestic rate stamp showing the bride being transported to the wedding. The international rate stamps shows the married couple together. The images are done in a folk art style knows as Chinese farmer or peasant painting.
